Purpose of game
To strengthen the entertainment of Smart Campus, we designed online games for students to have fun. This game was designed for the Single's Day. Because this game was embedded in the Smart Campus application. By means of the game, the daily active users of the application were increased by 30%.
In this project, I was in charge of game design and UI design. Compared to design functions, designing HTML5 need me to focus more on entertainment.
How to improve daily active users?
Besides iterating basic functions, I tried to find out whether embed online game could motivate engagement of users. Therefore, I tested this thought by designing an HTML5 game. Since designing an HTML5 game was fast, simple and "light". The light means that users didn't need to download anything, they could play it directly. So HTML5 game not only could increase entertainment of the product but also was a great entrance of user flow.
game Procedure
The goal of this game is to find the difference among all pictures. It means that users need to figure out a picture with the mascot "Pendo". The final score was the total levels that users could pass. The difficulty of the game level was increased by the growing number of pictures.
The result of the score also could be shared to different social medias. Also, there was a rank of score among all participants. Therefore, it stimulated more students to join this game for a kind of competition.

Conclusion
In this way, the daily active users of the application were increased by 30%. It proved that adding some HTML5 games could increase engagement of users. Besides, it cultivated me to think about gamification.
Gamification is a kind of design method means that using the design of psychology to guide behaviors of people. This could be used in diverse system designs, such as signing system, VIP system, rating systems, competition systems. This was a great attempt which gave me more ideas about designing basic functions with gamification in the future.
